I know someof you might not thing that is really anything to write about, but for me, its great. I actually had a person looking at my work.

I felt a little gratified.

I have a few web projects online that I have been working on for 2 years. I finally seem to be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and might have full working versions of my sites in a few months.

So having someone on my site for the time they were on it was pretty cool. I really worked hard on it.
It called Announce Your Life where your not only talk about weddings and engagements and other celebration stuff, you can also talk about almost anything else and (because it is a revenue sharing site) make money off of creating articles.

Its really sort of a blogging service using the total of group work to get what they write on the web. I sort of got the idea from Frogboy when he changed his blogging site to a larger platform to get more people to read what he was saying. Honestly, it is the biggest reason why I created Announce your Life (AYL) was to get what I have to say a bigger audience... from helping lost children getting found, to helping artists, to helping security guards to other junk I talk about. Its also a mixture of what I am doing on another 2 sites of mine and ALLOT of research... too much research LOL

So I got a visitor. I don't think the visitor signed in, but me getting one was great.

I don't start promoting the site really until sometime in April (using AdBrite, Google text ads and Blog Explosion) but its good to know I am getting one person on the site.

Look out you guys, i'm coming with some really cool apps, skins and word and other general crap. I can't wait to finally get it out there.

joetheblow.....it looks like you could be on to something here, with so many functions going on all over, people needing to announce them. Not a bad idea at all and I wish you well with it....have bookmarked the page and will check back from time to time

LOL

I just was excited about it. I mean really excited.

I am glad someone was kind enought to stop by. They stayed a whole 5-7 minutes. IT WAS GREAT!!!

I sort of wanted to say hi, but I was too shy. Really, I was. I was going to write a article titled, "Welcome Sole Visitor".

I just felt really good.

Oh and I would like to thank everyone for bookmarking my site. Its so brand new it still has baby powder on it. I really appreciate the positive comments.

I actually had 6 people on the site yesterday of which is to me totally freakin awesome!!! One person on it is amazing to me, but 6? (I'm not being sarcastic, I am really happy that anyone goes to my site)

Plus, I think I found a cool default them to work with. I would like to thank the many people of the open source community (some people think open source is communism...) for creating software to use for free and the themes that go with it.

Anyone trying to make a website and they want to manage their content and users, I would suggest you use Joomla or Geeklog.
Joomla:
http://www.joomla.org
Geeklog:
http://www.geeklog.net/
(personally, I think Geeklog is better, but Joomla has way more plug-ins and themes)

I use both and I love them!!!

Anyway, for those wondering, here is a link to my concept for Announce Your Life:
http://www.announceyourlife.com/AYL/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1&Itemid=2

From shared calenders to semi-private blogs to classifieds... even your own online OPERATING SYSTEM from the people who make Eye OS (another open source project)
http://www.eyeos.org
(You should check them out... and you will need Flash for it to work)
Blog, share, promote, rant... I hope I am on the mark with this one.
